Good news for teens ages 14½–19

Wisconsin Act 86 created the Driver Education Grant Program to help eligible teens obtain their driver's license without the financial burden of tuition. The grant covers 100% of driver's education tuition and is paid directly to Easy Method Driving School on the student's behalf.

Easy Method Driving School is a fully authorized provider for the Wisconsin DOT Driver Education Grant. Our licensed instructors have served Milwaukee and Southeast Wisconsin families for many years.

Eligibility

Who is eligible for the grant?

Students between the ages of 14½ and 19 who satisfy the income eligibility criteria for a free or reduced-price lunch under the federal school lunch program may qualify.

  • Age: Between 14½ and 19 years old.
  • Residency: Must be a Wisconsin resident.
  • Income: Must qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.
  • License history: Must never have previously held a driver license.
  • Timing: Must apply before enrolling in any driver education program.
Important: Do not enroll in a driver education program before applying for the grant. Enrolling first makes the student ineligible for funding.

What does the grant cover?

The Wisconsin Driver Education Grant pays 100% of tuition directly to Easy Method Driving School. The grant covers the complete state-required 30 hours classroom + 6/6 driver education package.

  3. Watch your email for approval and coupon codes. Approved students typically receive two coupon codes — one for classroom and one for behind‑the‑wheel.
  4. Contact Easy Method with your codes by calling (414) 447‑0202 or using our grant enrollment page so we can complete enrollment.

Once you redeem your codes with Easy Method, the Wisconsin DMV pays tuition directly to the school and your teen’s driver education tuition is fully covered. Coupon codes expire 9 months after the date of issue.
